This organization sent missionaries all over the world in the mid 19th century. The also funded various exploration projects.

Issued to children to raise money for a new Missinary ship to service the Hawaiian Islands and other South Pacific locations. The ship was built is 1857 at a cost of just over $18,300 and ran missions to the South Pacific until 1866 at which time it was sold. Later, other ships where finanaced in the same way (see 2nd certificate below).
Stock (Contribution Certificate) issued in 1856 for the building of the "Morning Star".
